How to itemise Uranus and, more importantly, why each item earns its slot.

Overview

Why this build works on Uranus

Uranus thrives on prolonged engagements through his passive Radiance, accumulating stacks to regenerate massive HP while continually spamming Ionic Edge to stack damage and Transcendent Ward for shields. However, Uranus consumes immense amounts of mana rapidly to keep Ionic Edge stacks refreshed, while needing damage reduction and enhanced healing to stay alive in extended frontline skirmishes. This build resolves his early mana bottleneck immediately, then amplifies his intrinsic passive sustain and shield capabilities. By combining shield enhancement and anti-physical defense, Uranus becomes an unkillable frontline disrupter who constantly ramps up damage while soaking entire enemy ultimate abilities during contests for the Turtle and Lord.

Build order

  1. 1 Warrior Boots
  2. 2 Enchanted Talisman
  3. 3 Oracle
  4. 4 Dominance Ice
  5. 5 Antique Cuirass
  6. 6 Brute Force Breastplate

Item by item

Warrior Boots provide early movement speed alongside physical defense that stacks via Valor when taking physical damage. Uranus needs early resilience while building Radiance stacks in lane or during early skirmishes. The extra physical defense stabilizes his early game, preventing physical damage dealers from bursting him before his passive regeneration ramps up, allowing him to trade blows effectively and control space.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Valor: Gain 4 extra Physical Defense for 3s when taking Physical Damage, up to 20.

Enchanted Talisman solves Uranus's most critical limitation: extreme mana consumption. Spamming Ionic Edge and Transcendent Ward rapidly drains his mana pool. With Mana Spring continually restoring his max mana, Uranus can freely stack Ionic Edge onto targets and activate Transcendent Ward whenever available. This constant skill uptime ensures Radiance stays permanently active at maximum stacks, transforming Uranus into an endlessly harassing frontline threat.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Mana Spring: Regenerates 15% Max Mana every 10s.

Oracle

Core

Oracle is Uranus's ultimate power spike due to Bless, which directly amplifies received shields and HP Regen. This multiplies the passive healing from Radiance and enhances both the shield provided by Transcendent Ward and the bonus recovery and shield amplification from Consecration. Once completed, Uranus recovers massive health during combat, making him almost impossible to bring down while diving deep into teamfights.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Bless: Received Shield and HP Regen effects are increased by 30%.

Dominance Ice

Situational

Dominance Ice gives Uranus essential physical armor while crippling basic attack reliant enemies. Its passive Arctic Cold lowers the attack speed of nearby foes. Since Uranus must dive directly into enemy formations using Transcendent Ward, he constantly lingers near enemy damage dealers. Reducing their attack frequency directly mitigates incoming damage, buying time for Radiance and Consecration to restore his health during chaotic teamfights.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Arctic Cold: Reduces the Attack Speed of nearby enemy heroes to 70% of normal.

Antique Cuirass counters physical skill-based assassins and fighters who rely on abilities rather than basic attacks. Its passive Deter reduces the attacker's physical damage whenever Uranus is hit by an enemy skill. Because Uranus naturally absorbs incoming skill casts to maintain Radiance, Antique Cuirass turns enemy offensive skills against them by diminishing their damage output, keeping Uranus secure against high physical burst.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Deter: When hit by a skill, reduces the attacker's Physical Damage by 4% for 2s (this effect stacks up to 3 times).

Brute Force Breastplate rewards Uranus for doing what he does best: constantly dealing damage. Since Ionic Edge and Transcendent Ward hit enemies frequently, Uranus easily maintains full stacks of Brute Force. This grants bonus movement speed, physical attack, magic power, and control duration reduction. The increased movement speed complements Consecration, allowing Uranus to stick to priority targets and maintain continuous pressure.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Brute Force: Each second after dealing damage, gain 6 extra Physical Attack and Magic Power and 2% extra Movement Speed for 4s, up to 6 stacks. Gain 15% extra Control Duration Reduction at full stacks.

Adapting the build

No build survives every draft. These are the situations where the order above should change.

Against heavy physical skill burst

Prioritise Antique Cuirass earlier right after Oracle instead of Dominance Ice. The Deter passive immediately softens incoming physical skill damage, allowing Uranus to absorb enemy ultimate abilities while stacking Radiance without taking fatal burst damage during mid game teamfights.

Against high attack speed physical marksmen

Rush Dominance Ice immediately after completing Enchanted Talisman. Applying Arctic Cold directly reduces the attack speed of nearby physical marksmen, protecting Uranus while he dives into the enemy backline using Transcendent Ward to disrupt their positioning.

When facing excessive crowd control composition

Prioritise Brute Force Breastplate earlier in the item progression. Achieving full stacks grants control duration reduction alongside movement speed, which synergizes with the slow immunity of Consecration, ensuring Uranus remains mobile and cannot be permanently locked down during dives.

Item recommendations come from the game's own hero data. The explanations are AI-generated from Uranus's ability kit and the items' in-game passives, and are checked automatically against the item list — they never introduce an item the game does not recommend for this hero.
