How to itemise Karrie and, more importantly, why each item earns its slot.

Overview

Why this build works on Karrie

Karrie relies on triggering her passive, Lightwheel Mark, which deals True Damage based on the target's Max HP after five stacks. Because her ultimate, Speedy Lightwheel, allows her to throw dual lightwheels that inherit attack effects, maximizing attack speed and on-hit procs is paramount. This build is designed to turn Karrie into an unstoppable tank melter while fixing her mobility and durability vulnerabilities. Items like Corrosion Scythe accelerate stack accumulation, while Endless Battle adds extra True Damage when weaving Phantom Step between basic attacks. The combination enables Karrie to rapidly melt durable foes while maintaining movement speed to chase or kite safely in the Gold Lane.

Item by item

Swift Boots

Early

Swift Boots provide early movement speed and attack speed needed during the laning phase. Extra movement speed enables Karrie to position effectively while casting Spinning Lightwheel to harass opponents. The added attack speed accelerates how quickly she applies Lightwheel Mark stacks on enemy heroes, giving her an early trade advantage in the Gold Lane before committing to major core items.

Corrosion Scythe is essential for Karrie's kit. Its passive adds extra Physical Damage and slows target enemies on basic attacks. When paired with Speedy Lightwheel, Karrie rapidly applies slowing effects, preventing enemies from escaping her assault. This allows her to easily stack Lightwheel Mark while making Phantom Step dashes even more lethal during active chases.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Corrosion: Basic Attacks gain 80 extra Physical Damage and slow the target by 8% (halved for ranged Basic Attacks) for 1.5s. Stacks up to 5 times.

Endless Battle provides Divine Justice, dealing extra True Damage following skill casts. Since Karrie frequently spams Phantom Step and Spinning Lightwheel, she triggers this passive repeatedly. The additional True Damage perfectly complements the True Damage from Lightwheel Mark, transforming her into a threat that bypasses enemy armor completely during teamfights around Turtle or Lord objectives.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Divine Justice: After casting a skill, the next Basic Attack within 3s deals 60% Physical Attack as extra True Damage (1.5s cooldown).

Windtalker

Core

Windtalker boosts attack speed and grants Typhoon, dealing extra Magic Damage on basic attacks that scales down in cooldown with more hits. Combined with Speedy Lightwheel, Karrie fires a barrage of lightwheels that trigger Typhoon frequently. This provides much-needed area-of-effect damage to clear minion waves quickly and enhances her movement speed to kite dangerous threats.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Typhoon: Every 5-2s (reduced by 0.2s for each Basic Attack), the next Basic Attack will hit up to 3 enemy units for 150-362 Magic Damage. (This attack can Crit and the damage increases to 200% against Minions.)

Haas' Claws boosts attack speed through critical strikes via its Frenzy passive. In the late game, this item grants Karrie sustained survivability during direct trades. Paired with the dual hits from Speedy Lightwheel, her critical hits trigger Frenzy consistently, drastically increasing her attack velocity so she can instantly stack Lightwheel Mark while sustaining through incoming damage.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Frenzy: Critical strikes grant 20% Attack Speed for 2s.

Immortality

Situational

Immortality offers crucial insurance for a short-ranged Marksman. Its Immortal passive revives Karrie after receiving fatal damage, granting a temporary shield. This allows her to survive initial burst damage from enemy assassins, reposition using Phantom Step, and activate Speedy Lightwheel to turn the tide of a late-game battle or escape dangerous situations safely.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Immortal: Revives 2.5s after death, gaining 16% Max HP and a 220-1200 shield (scales with level) that lasts 3s (210s cooldown).

Adapting the build

No build survives every draft. These are the situations where the order above should change.

Against mobile enemies who excel at escaping

Prioritize finishing Corrosion Scythe immediately after boots. The slowing effect applied by basic attacks helps lock down slippery targets, allowing Karrie to keep them within range of Spinning Lightwheel and ensure full application of Lightwheel Mark stacks during Phantom Step chases.

When facing high-burst assassins targeting the Gold Lane

Consider securing Immortality earlier in the build path before Haas' Claws. The revive shield buys crucial seconds to cast Phantom Step and reset positioning, allowing Karrie to activate Speedy Lightwheel and turn fights around instead of being eliminated instantly.

When enemy tanks stack massive health pools

Complete Endless Battle right after Corrosion Scythe. Divine Justice adds reliable extra True Damage following Phantom Step casts, pairing directly with Lightwheel Mark to shred high Max HP targets regardless of their physical defense stats.
