How to itemise Beatrix and, more importantly, why each item earns its slot.

Overview

Why this build works on Beatrix

Beatrix possesses a unique kit governed by Mechanical Genius, which completely disables her ability to deal critical damage and instead converts critical chance into raw Physical Attack. Because her four distinct weapons—Renner, Bennett, Wesker, and Nibiru—scale massively off total Physical Attack and attack effects, this build focuses on amplifying her raw offensive power while addressing her complete lack of inherent escape mechanisms and durability. Early Attack Speed and Physical Attack sustain her in the Gold Lane, while raw Physical Attack multipliers elevate her weapon burst potentials. Defensive utility items ensure Beatrix survives aggressive dives, allowing her to continuously swap weapons and wipe out targets during late-game teamfights around the Lord.

Item by item

Swift Boots

Early

Swift Boots provide Beatrix with necessary early Movement Speed to navigate the Gold Lane and reposition while swapping weapons. The additional Attack Speed directly benefits the firing rate of Nibiru and the reload speed of Wesker. Early mobility allows Beatrix to maintain safe distance during laning trades and respond quickly to early skirmishes around the Turtle without compromising her positioning.

Haas' Claws

Early

Due to Mechanical Genius converting Critical Chance into pure Physical Attack, Haas' Claws grants Beatrix additional attack power alongside essential Lifesteal. The item enhances her lane durability significantly, allowing her to stay healthy while farming. Firing Nibiru or clearing waves with Bennett rapidly restores her health pool, keeping her in the Gold Lane without needing frequent recalls, while the extra Attack Speed boosts her sustained output.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Frenzy: Critical strikes grant 20% Attack Speed for 2s.

Demon Hunter Sword drastically improves Beatrix's performance against high-HP targets. Because Nibiru fires multi-shot volleys and Wesker hits multiple times close range, both weapons trigger the Devour passive repeatedly in rapid succession. This turns her into an immediate threat against frontline tanks and secures fast objective clears when taking down the Turtle or Lord alongside her team.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Devour: Basic Attacks deal 8% of the target's current HP as extra Physical Damage (capped at 60 against minions).

Blade of Despair is the ultimate offensive item for Beatrix. Its massive Physical Attack stat dramatically increases the damage scaling across all four weapons, particularly maximizing the single-shot burst of Renner and the close-range annihilation of Wesker. Furthermore, the Despair passive amplifies her damage against low-health enemies, allowing her to execute escaping targets easily with precision snipes or rapid Nibiru bursts.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Despair: Dealing damage to non-Minion enemies below 50% HP increases Physical Attack by 25% for 2s (takes effect before the damage is dealt).

Rose Gold Meteor

Situational

Rose Gold Meteor gives Beatrix a crucial combination of offensive Physical Attack, Lifesteal, and defensive Magic Defense. When burst damage threatens to eliminate her instantly, the Lifeline passive triggers a protective shield and grants bonus Movement Speed. This allows her to survive initial ambush attempts from enemy mages or assassins, repositioning safely to counterattack with Wesker or Renner.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Lifeline: When taking damage that reduces HP below 30%, gain a 420-910 shield (increases with level) and 50% Movement Speed that rapidly decays over 3s. This effect has a 60s cooldown.

In the late game, Beatrix is a high-priority target for enemy divers due to her immense firepower. Immortality grants Physical Defense and the Immortal revival passive, giving her a vital second chance when focused down during late-game Lord contests. Reviving with a temporary shield allows Beatrix to immediately dash away, reload her weapons, and turn around teamfights.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Immortal: Revives 2.5s after death, gaining 16% Max HP and a 220-1200 shield (scales with level) that lasts 3s (210s cooldown).

Adapting the build

No build survives every draft. These are the situations where the order above should change.

Against heavy magic burst or aggressive assassin dives

Prioritise Rose Gold Meteor earlier in your build order right after Demon Hunter Sword before completing Blade of Despair. The immediate shield and Magic Defense prevent you from getting eliminated before you can unleash your weapon combinations, providing crucial survivability during mid-game skirmishes.

When facing multiple frontline tanks stacking high health

Rush Demon Hunter Sword immediately after Swift Boots before finishing Haas' Claws. This maximizes your on-hit damage output with Nibiru and Wesker, allowing you to melt tanky frontliners early and secure lane dominance against heavy sustain opponents.

When targeted heavily by physical burst or dive compositions in late game

Delay Rose Gold Meteor to build Immortality as your fifth item instead. The resurrection passive gives Beatrix a second life during chaotic late-game Lord fights, counteracting coordinated physical dive attempts and enabling your team to peel for you post-revival.

Item recommendations come from the game's own hero data. The explanations are AI-generated from Beatrix's ability kit and the items' in-game passives, and are checked automatically against the item list — they never introduce an item the game does not recommend for this hero.
